PDUsing train and city bus to get from Kyoto Station to the hotel

1. If you travel to Kyoto by Shinkansen (bullet train), change to the JR
overhead line at Kyoto Station. You can get on the JR using the same ticket
you used for the Shinkansen, for no extra cost. So hold onto your
ticket.

Shinkansen, you can choose to use the subway and city bus.
2. Get on the Karasuma subway Line at Kyoto
Station and get off at "Marutamachi" station. Directly opposite the restaurant and the turning for the hotel is the large Hirano shrine – you cannot miss it! The hotel is literally 30 seconds down the street, on the right.

There is a bus station on the north side of the station. Take either bus
numbered 50 or 205, which both leave from stand "B".
